What We Believe
We appreciate that you are conscientious and wise enough to investigate what we believe. There is a lot of Scriptural teaching and understanding behind these tenets.
We Believe:
that there is one God who is described in the Bible as three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
that Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross and was raised from the grave. Now in heaven, Jesus will one day return as He promised.
that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one gains access to God the Father except through Christ. His blood, shed by choice at Calvary, provides forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God to those who will surrender their lives to Christ as Lord and Savior. People cannot save themselves through good works.
that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God preserved for our guidance and instruction as disciples of Jesus.
that the Church represents the body of Christ on Earth and is entrusted with the purposes of glorifying God, leading the lost to Christ (the ministry of reconciliation) and strengthening each other in Christ.
that heaven and hell exist as eternal destinations after death. Hell is a place of eternal punishment for those who reject Jesus Christ as Savior. Heaven is a place of reward and eternal life reserved for those saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
